God On Facebook!!!!!!!!....Do You Know?

Now you have the chance to be friends with Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Hanuman on Facebook. Welcome to Karma Kingdom, a quest-oriented community building game that allows users to ‘create their better world’. According to a PTI report, Karma Kingdom is developed by a worldwide team of designers and programmers. This game pushes the boundaries of conventional game design and themes. Avasthaa is the company behind the game.

Ashok Desai, CEO and founder of Avasthaa, said, “The game aims at straddling the eastern and western cultures. However, the emphasis here is on the Indian mythology. The game has been designed in such a way that it popularises Indian cultural and mythological tales.”

The main target audience of the game is the Asian community. Desai says the idea is to intrigue other people of the world as well.
According to the report, Karma Kingdom also rewards players for building a happy community based on health and knowledge. The players are given opportunities to give real-world charities through the game.

Desai says, “In the game, players earn goodwill and karma points. It allows players to donate points earned by them to charities. Technologically, we have put in several other unique features as well. Unlike any other game, there is a day-night cycle. We aim at raising the bar when it comes to social games.”

Aaron Mathew, one of the main developers of the game, said that users can also send their feedback and suggestions about the game, but this is a gradual process.

Mathew says, “In this way, we can discover how users find our game and we can develop our game and make it smoother.”

According to Desai, Facebook is the best platform to launch Karma Kingdom as the network has 25 million Indians on it as of date. He says, “There’s an Indian diaspora that is part of the 750 million people who are using Facebook today.”

It is worth mentioning here that the size of the gaming market exceeded $15 billion in 2010; this figure excludes hardware data. Avasthaa’s next product will be the mobile platform.
