Acer Launches Liquid E Plus Smartphone In India

Acer has announced the availability of its new Liquid E Plus smartphone in the Indian market. The successor to the limited edition Liquid E Ferrari, the smartphone houses almost similar hardware configuration but comes at a much lower price point. This is why the new Liquid E plus device is being projected as an entry-level device for the Indian market.

According to a report by The Mobile Indian, "Acer Liquid E Plus is available for Rs 12,250 across several cities in India."

It comes pre-installed with the Android 2.2 Froyo (Frozen Yoghurt). There is no information about this device getting the Gingerbread upgrade.

It will be featuring the same configuration as its predecessor. It includes an under clocked Qualcomm snapdragon processor running at 786 MHz along with a dedicated Adreno 200 graphics processor.

The display remains the same at 8.9-cm (3.5-inch) with 480 x 800 pixel resolution with capacitive touch and a 5-megapixel auto focus camera. The company will offer a complimentary 8GB micro SD memory card with the Liquid E Plus for its customers in India.
